Almaty, Kazakhstan's largest metropolis, is set in the foothills of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains. It served as the country's capital until 1997 and remains Kazakhstan's trading and cultural hub. Landmarks include the Central State Museum, displaying thousands of historic Kazakh artifacts. In the center is Panfilov Park, home to the bright-yellow towers of Zenkov Cathedral, a tsarist-era Russian Orthodox church.
Almaty Tour Itinerary
Day 1
As soon as you land at the airport, one of our English speaking staff will welcome you at the airport and will take you to the hotel in a private vehicle. After you are done with the check-in, you can spend the entire day at leisure. You can explore the hotel and its amenities or you can go out to explore some surrounding areas. Stay at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2
The second day of your Kazakhstan 4 nights 5 days package starts with a delicious breakfast, after which we will take you for the sightseeing tour of Almaty. You will get to visit all the major attractions here like Republic Square, Palace of President, Monument of Independence, Astana Square, Palace of Republic, and Abai Square. Each of the places has its own historical importance. Our next visit will be to Panfilov Park, which is a park dedicated to the soldiers and Panfilov heroes. Within the park, there is a wooden cathedral called Zenkov Cathedral and Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame dedicated to all the soldiers. Our next destination will be Kok Tobe, from where you get the panoramic and picturesque view of the mountain ranges. There is also a TV tower installed here which is considered to be the tallest in the world. Kok Tobe is a hub for many recreational activities and also a center to buy some nice National souvenirs. At night, we will drop you at the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3
The “Pearl of the Tien Shan”, Kolsai Lakes, are located 300 km from Almaty, in the spurs of the Kungei-Alatau ridge. It is also called Kazakh Switzerland. These are three most beautiful mountain lakes surrounded by steep mountain slopes. The lake sare located at different heights and form a kind of cascade. The lower Kolsai Lakeis located at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level, the middle one is at an altitude of 2250 meters and the highest one is at an altitude of 2800 meters above sea level.

Day 4
Shymbulak, Depart Almaty and drive to Medeo Gorge. Visit the huge Medeu dam, that protects the city from destructive mudows formed on the tops of the western Tian Shan mountains. From the top of the dam, at the altitude of 1733 meters above the sea level, enjoy view of the largest high mountain skating rink in the world – Medeu, surrounded by marvelous mountains of Trans-Ili Alatau.
